Mental Health, Recovery Alberta is inviting applications for the CMD Eating Disorders Clinic Expectation: 1. Ensure that all referrals made to the Eating Disorders Clinic receive appropriate medical care, evaluation, diagnosis and treatment. 2. Ensure that clinical staff? receives appropriate clinical supervision. 3. Parti cipate in program quality improvement actiti viti es including all aspects of medical audit delegated by the Sec?? on Chief, ensuring coordination with other health care professionals. 4. Represent medical staff? at Program/Service meeti ngs. 5. Assist in the implementatiti on of new pati ent care programs and evaluati on of ongoing services. B. ADMINISTRATION Work collaboratively with program managers responsible for the Eating Disorders Clinic to: 1. Provide leadership to multi disciplinary teams and ensure Zone policies are followed; 2. Ensure the appropriate and e? cient use of resources by physician members and promote innovative and cost e? ecti ve practi ce; 3. Review the Program/Service budget for all resources, sta? ng, equipment, supplies, space required and is involved in resource allocation decision; 4. Parti cipate with other service disciplines in developing the Program/Service strategic and operatiti onal plan; 5. Ensure that the mission, objectiti ves, and goals of the Program/Service are in keeping with the philosophy, standards, goals and objecti ves of the Department of Psychiatry and Mental Health Services, Alberta Health Services. C. EDUCATION 1.Acti vely supports processes to ensure high-quality medical educatiti on is provided for undergraduate, post-graduate and conti nuing medical education students in accordance with the requirements of the University of Calgary, Faculty of Medicine. D. RESEARCH 1. Support the coordinati on of approved research actiti vities within the Eati ng Disorders Clinic. E. STAFF DEVELOPMENT 1. Provide ongoing directi ons to physicians to ensure high quality patiti ent care, educati on, and research.
Qualifications: Psychiatrist / Practitioner who currently has Recovery Alberta appointment. The candidate must be eligible for Licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta. Must read, write, and speak English. All qualified candidates are encouraged to apply; however, Canadians and Permanent Residents will be given priority.
