Position Description: The Department of Pediatrics (DoP), invite applicants to apply to this 0.1 FTE, AMHSP position at the Alberta Children’s hospital, within Alberta Health Services, Calgary Zone. This position reports to the Section of Adolescent Medicine. This is a one year Locum position for a 0.10 FTE in the Somatic Symptom and Rehabilitation Clinic at the Alberta Children’s Hospital. The ideal candidate would be an Adolescent Medicine Specialist with demonstrated experience and strong skills in Adolescent Health. This role will be expected to work one half day per week to provide assessments, follow-up appointments and participate in team/family meetings as part of an interdisciplinary team that includes adolescent medicine specialists, child and adolescent psychiatry, psychology, and nursing. The Section of Adolescent Medicine, based at the Alberta Children’s Hospital, provides specialized care to adolescents (ages 12-23). Adolescent Medicine Specialists focus on the comprehensive assessment and treatment of complex adolescent health issues. Qualifications: The candidate must be eligible for Licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta and have a Royal College Physician and Surgeons of Canada certification in Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine, or in good standing with a subspeciality training program that will be eligible to apply for RCPSC Subspeciality Certification in Adolescent Medicine. Must read, write, and speak English. All qualified candidates are encouraged to apply; however, Canadians and Permanent Residents will be given priority.
