Description: Alberta Health Services is inviting applications from Family Physicians to join the Department of Family Medicine as an ongoing Locum Hospitalist with the Fort Saskatchewan Community Hospital (FSCH). FSCH is a 38-bed suburban hospital in Fort Saskatchewan located in the Edmonton Corridor. The position is for hospitalists in an acute care setting on an inpatient ward. The physician will be responsible for admitting patients after discussion with the ER doctor, diagnostic work up, treatment and discharge planning in the context of the allied health care team. As we have two doctors on service per week the census is typically 16-20 patients. Additionally, there will be times when called to provide routine care to healthy newborn infants born at the site. The physician role will be primarily clinical though they may have some educational requirements if a resident is on service that week. The physician is expected to be on site Wednesday to Tuesday daily during their scheduled week to round on patients and complete any admissions as they occur. The physician is expected to be accessible on call 24/7 during the week though this may be from offsite location. They will also be expected to attend Rapid Rounds daily at 830 am from Monday to Friday. This position will require the selected candidate to sign a Visiting Specialist contract rendering their services 12 times per year (2-3 days per visit), not exceeding 30 days in a calendar year. Duties include but are not limited to: - Obtain and maintain an AHS Medical Staff Appointment and appropriate privileges to provide the services mentioned. - Abide by the AHS Medical Staff Bylaws, the AHS Medical Staff Rules and AHS policies. Work collaboratively with peers and care team colleagues in support of patient care.

Description: Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Alberta Health Services (AHS), Calgary Zone, and the Cumming School of Medicine, University of Calgary, are actively recruiting for a Generalist Obstetrician, Locum coverage starting June 15, 2026, and ending September 01, 2026. Expectations of this position include acute care coverage of Obstetrics with as well as covering 6 AHS clinics and 3-4 12-hour on-call shifts per month, with potential to pick up additional shifts. Clinic coverage (and usual clinical support) will occur at the facility to complement this hospital obstetrical on-call coverage. The individual may be expected to participate in and provide clinical education of medical students, residents, and midwifery students in the Calgary Zone who rotate through our facility as learners. This individual will also have opportunity to access the SHC Procedure Room (referring patients to and providing surgical coverage for this service). Candidates must have their FRCSC in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, and preference will be given to a candidate with Royal College Subspecialty Certification.
