Mental Health, Recovery Alberta seeking a child psychiatrist to support the Intensive Community Treatment Service and Walk In Service at The Summit - Marian & Jim Sinneave Centre for Youth Resilience. This position would entail an approximate 0.4 FTE time commitment supporting both services as described below. ICTS Program: Intensive Community Treatment Services is a step-up intensive community-based treatment program for children and youth experiencing or are at risk of a mental health crisis or hospitalization and their family. This service aims to prevent a hospital admission. Intensive Community Treatment Services (ICTS) is designed to provide appointment based intensive individual, family, and group therapies for 1-4 hours daily for a period 4-6 weeks and does not have a school-based component. An individualized treatment plan will be developed based on the unique needs and goals that may include assessment, treatment and medication management as needed. Psychiatrists are expected to attend 2-hour weekly Kardex rounds to review patients with the multi-disciplinary team, including psychology, psychometry, dietician, pharmacist, occupational therapist and family counselor. Psychiatrists typically complete an admission consultation, follow-up during the 6 weeks to support diagnostic clarification, medication management and therapy strategies. They will complete a discharge summary to send to family physician and other community providers. They are also expected to provide general support and clinical leadership to multidisciplinary team. Walk-In Service: Youth and their families can present to the Summit for crisis counseling or support. If deemed appropriate, psychiatry can complete one-time consultation to support with diagnostic clarification, service navigation and medication management which will be sent to community providers. Psychiatry will review previous documentation and psychometry to support with diagnostic formulation. A nurse will room the patient to check vital signs and discuss case with psychiatry. Time commitment would be approximately 1.5 days per week for ICTS and 0.5-1 day per week providing walk-in consultations commensurate with demand depending on time of year. Reporting to the Chief Medical Laboratory Officer (CMLO), the Director ensures alignment of clinical practice, quality, and operations across North and South Sectors. Key responsibilities include medical/scientific oversight of laboratory G&G services, accreditation leadership, quality and safety governance, workforce planning, performance management, and risk management. The role leads and supports continuous improvement, service transformation, utilization management, and the adoption of new technologies in alignment with APL priorities and operations. The Director collaborates extensively with internal stakeholders, including Sector Medical Directors, Program Leads, and operational leaders, as well as with clinical, academic, and external partners. The position also supports medical education, research initiatives, and teaching accreditation standards, and provides medical-legal advice as required. This role chairs and participates in several provincial committees related to laboratory medicine, formulary management, clinical systems improvement, and Genetics and Genomics governance.

Position Description: T he Section of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition, Department of Pediatrics, invites applications for a 0.8 FTE fee for service Locum position. The target start date for this position is July 1, 2026. This position is posted in tandem with and is only available if the applicant also applies and is successful in their application to the following position: Position Title: Pediatric Gastroenterologist - Locum, 0.2 FTE-Alberta Children’s Hospital-Calgary Requisition: (will include once I can input into Dr. Jobs Alberta) Link: (will include once I can input into Dr. Jobs Alberta) The successful candidate will have 100% time committed to clinical activity, which will provide 184 days (368 half days) per year of clinical service. The inpatient service will provide an estimated 120 half days of In-Patient Consulting +/- Attending Physician service, weekend/STAT days and after-hours night call coverage. It will also consist of 248 half days of Ambulatory service/Other Patient Care including procedure days (5 hours each) with or without trainees. The position will include GI clinics, both on site and virtual, Medical Day Unit visits, Fellows clinics, scheduled clinical encounters outside of the physician’s usual clinic time, endoscopic procedures in the GI lab and OR, ambulatory care, and physician telephone referrals/advice. Alberta Health Services – Northeast Region and the Department of Diagnostic Imaging at the Northern Lights Regional Health Centre - Fort McMurray, are currently looking for a Diagnostic Radiologist to join their current team of Radiologist. This position will provide Radiology services, with a key focus in reading patient scans. The successful candidate is required to offer consistent Diagnostic Radiologist services, anywhere within Alberta, and may be requested to offer in person services, within the Fort McMurray Northern Lights Regional Health Centre, on occasion. The remote Alberta location is the candidate's independent business decision and will not be managed through the recruitment process.
