The Grande Prairie Regional Hospital is seeking an individual to provide Internal Medicine, Nephrology & Critical Care services in Grande Prairie. The successful candidate must have a demonstrated interest in practicing in a rural and regional setting, hold FRCPC in Internal Medicine; with a Fellowship in both Critical Care and Nephrology. An interest in providing maternal-fetal renal disease is desired. This position will have Alberta Health Services hospital privileges The position will include hospital call. Responsibilities include but not limited to: - Reside in and have as his/her primary residence, Grande Prairie - Establish and maintain a full time General Internal Medicine community based practice within the community - Provide hospital and call support as required - A willingness to travel within the North Zone to provide Dialysis Regional Support may be required - Contribute to and participate in teaching programs and activities - Contribute to and participate in other administrative responsibilities as assigned. The successful candidate may choose to operate their business by joining an existing practice or by opening their own practice. This is the candidate's independent business decision and will not be managed through the recruitment process.
