This position is a COMMUNITY position and is NOT part of Alberta Health Services. Job Description: Delta Medical Clinic is seeking a dedicated Family Physician to join the team. The successful candidate will participate in improving health outcomes for patients through comprehensive preventative care strategies and will: • Conduct patient assessments, physical exams, and medical history reviews. • Diagnose, treat, and manage acute and chronic conditions. • Develop and implement personalized treatment plans. • Provide urgent care for patients with immediate medical needs. • Promote preventive health through education, counseling, and lifestyle interventions. • Order and interpret diagnostic tests (e.g., bloodwork, imaging, ECGs). • Prescribe and administer medications and treatments. • Offer vaccinations and health screenings. • Consult and collaborate with specialists and other healthcare providers. • Maintain accurate medical records using EMR systems (e.g., HealthQuest). • Provide counseling and support for patients and families. • Stay current with medical research and participate in continuing medical education (CME). • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and professional standards.
Qualifications: Have a current eligibility letter from CPSA As per the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta's eligibility requirements guidelines. The salary range is based on the Fee-For-Service (FFS) earnings, as per the Schedule of Medical Benefits (SOMB) information published by Alberta Health Salary range of $250,000-$400,000 per annum depending on the service volume and patient load. Note: The overhead structure will be discussed with the candidates who are interviewed.
