Position Overview: Asperia Medical Clinic is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychiatrist to join our team under the sponsorship of the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta (CPSA). The successful candidate will deliver high-quality psychiatric care to adolescents, adults, and seniors within a collaborative, multidisciplinary framework. This is a longitudinal care position, requiring regular and long-term follow-up with patients to ensure continuity and consistency of care. Key Responsibilities: - Conduct psychiatric evaluations, diagnoses, and treatment planning for patients with a wide range of mental health disorders. - Collaborate with family physicians, psychologists, social workers, and other allied health professionals to develop comprehensive care plans. - Provide medication management, psychotherapy, and crisis intervention as needed. - Maintain thorough and timely clinical documentation in compliance with CPSA and clinic standards. - Engage in longitudinal care by providing consistent and ongoing follow-up appointments to support long-term patient outcomes. - This is a Full time position in a community clinic with no Hospital privileges.
Qualifications: - Have a current eligibility letter from CPSA - Medical degree (MD) with specialty training in Psychiatry. - Eligibility for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta (CPSA). - CPSA sponsorship eligibility (International Medical Graduates welcome to apply). - Experience in outpatient clinical settings preferred. - Strong interpersonal and communication skills. - Commitment to evidence-based practice and continuous professional development
Fee for service range as per Alberta Health Care Insurance Plan (AHCIP) Statistical Supplement : Median is $398,438 CAD Maximum $1,179,400
