Job Description: The Village Mall Medical Clinic is recruiting 4 new physicians to fill current openings. The Clinic is situated on the North Side of Red Deer, at the Village Mall Centre, with ample parking. We use Telus CHR, which is now the standard of EMR in Alberta. We have great Support staff and no after-hours work required. The position requires physicians to. 1) Examine patients, obtain histories, order special tests, and perform other diagnostic procedures to provide quality patient care. 2) Prescribe and administer acute as well as chronic treatment to patients. 3) Inoculate and Vaccinate patients. 4) Advise patients and their families on health care issues, including primary health care. 5) Patient advocacy role. 6) Provide counselling and treatment for addiction patients. 7) Coordinate and manage primary care patients Successful candidates will be working on a fee-for-service basis that has been set out by Alberta Health (AH) according to the negotiated rate scale between AH and the AMA (Alberta Medical Association)
Qualifications: Have a current eligibility letter from CPSA Medical degree from a recognized medical school. Completion of a residency program in family medicine or equivalent as accepted by CPSA. Certification by the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC) is desired. Eligibility for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta (CPSA) - Provisional or General Register Strong clinical skills and ability to manage a wide range of medical conditions. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Commitment to providing patient-centered and compassionate care. Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
Fee For Service as negotiated by Alberta Medical Association. Fixed low monthly Fee to be discussed during interview. If a candidate chooses to work in a Hospital zero split for any out-of-clinic work.
