Responsibilities/Duties: GRANDE PRAIRIE - OBGYN SPECIALIST PHYSICIAN: The Grande Prairie Regional Hospital is seeking an OBGYN Specialist Physicians to join our physician group in Grande Prairie. The successful candidate is preferred to be FRCSC (Fellow, Royal College of Surgeons Canada) or FRCSC eligible. Interest in gynecological surgery is desired. The new OBGYN physician will have Alberta Health Services hospital privileges. The position will include hospital call. Duties include but not limited to: • Reside in and have as his/her primary residence, Grande Prairie • Establish and maintain a full-time community based practice within the community • Provide hospital and call assistance as required • Contribute to and participate in teaching programs and activities • Contribute to and participate in other administrative duties as assigned. The successful candidate may choose to operate their business by joining an existing practice or by opening their own practice. This is the candidate's business choice and will not be managed through the recruitment process.
Qualifications & Experience: • Certification with the Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons of Canada or equivalency is desired • NRP – Neonatal Resuscitation Program CPSA Practice Permit or Review of Qualifications (Eligibility Review) required with application Only candidates selected for an interview will be contacted.
Fee for Service On Call Stipend - Physicians are remunerated for being on call. Average Gross Annual Income is in the range of $530,619.00, estimated on full-time hours. Alberta Medical Association (AMA) Compensation Programs - AMA Membership compensation programs are under review and may be subject to change, with the current Rural & Remote Northern Program (RRNP) - Variable Fee Rate set at 16.36% for Grande Prairie.
