Job Description Elbow River Healing Lodge (ERHL) is an Indigenous focused primary health care clinic which offers holistic, wraparound, culturally safe care to First Nations, Inuit, and Métis individuals and families. The goal of ERHL is to provide access to health care that is safe, as well as respectful of cultural beliefs. ERHL offers a comprehensive and culturally responsive model of care that integrates both primary and specialized services to support patients across all stages of life. ERHL is made up of a multidisciplinary team providing medical support from family physicians, nurses, prenatal support, chronic disease and diabetes management, allied health professionals, and specialists. Connection to FNMI traditional healing and cultural resources is supported by a team of Elders. Social work, outreach, and community advocate staff help clients with crisis support, resource navigation, intensive case management, and advocacy. The Vision of ERHL is to have healthy Indigenous communities that are connected and empowered to access healthcare. We are seeking a Locum Family Physician with opportunity for long term commitment. Minimum 0.4 FTE. Key Responsibilities - Provide comprehensive primary care - Deliver longitudinal, team-based care in collaboration with an interprofessional team - Promote and maintain a culturally safe clinical environment
Qualifications - Eligibility for licensure with the College of Physicians & Surgeons of Alberta (CPSA) - Willingness to enroll in the Indigenous Wellness Clinical ARP - Experience working with marginalized populations is preferred - Demonstrated training or competence in:- Cultural safety - Trauma-informed care - Comfort working in a team-based, interprofessional environment How to Apply Interested candidates please forward a statement of intent and CV to matthew.ray@ahs.ca
