Alberta Health Services, Department of Rural Medicine – Calgary Corridor, is now accepting applications for a full-time emergency physician. - Start date July 5, 2026. - 12-14 shifts per month, 8-hour shifts divided equally between day, evening, and night shifts. The successful application will: - Obtain and maintain an AHS Medical Staff Appointment and appropriate clinical privileges. - Abide by the AHS Medical Staff Bylaws, AHS Medical Staff Rules, and AHS policies. - Participate in relevant Continuing Medical Education (CME) programs. - Work collaboratively with peers and care team colleagues in support of patient care.
Required Qualifications: - Current Alberta Practice Permit or eligible for a practice permit (General Register) with the College of Physicians and Surgeons. - Certification in Emergency Medicine with the Royal College of Physicians of Canada or the College of Family Physicians of Canada (FRCPC of CCFP-EM). - Comfortable working in a busy single coverage ED. - Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS). - Read, write, and speak English fluently. Desired Qualifications: - Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS). - Pediatric Life Support (PALS). - Rural Emergency Room Experience. Applications must be submitted via Doctor Jobs Alberta.
