Covenant Health invites applications for a Hospitalist (Family Physician) to join our care team at Villa Caritas Hospital in Edmonton, Alberta. Villa Caritas is a 150-bed acute mental health facility dedicated to supporting seniors with complex medical and psychiatric conditions. The site provides timely, specialized assessment and treatment, with a strong focus on stabilizing patients and transitioning them safely back home or to appropriate community or continuing care settings. This part-time locum position supports the existing Family Medicine service—currently composed of two General Practitioners and one Nurse Practitioner—primarily for vacation and illness coverage. This is an excellent opportunity for a Family Physician with an established community practice who is interested in serving as a medical consultant within a Geriatric Psychiatry environment. The ideal candidate will be comfortable managing acute medical care for older adults with multiple comorbidities and collaborating within a multidisciplinary care model. The successful applicant will also be expected to apply for a Clinical Faculty Appointment with the University of Alberta’s Department of Family Medicine. This process is handled separately through the Faculty of Medicine & Dentistry.
