Description: The Department of Medicine, University of Calgary in conjunction with Alberta Health Services (AHS) invites applications for a full-time (1.0 FTE) adult endocrinologist with special focus in neuroendocrine disorders. The selected applicant will join the Endocrinology group at South Health Campus and provide neuroendocrine care at the Arthur Childs Comprehensive Cancer Centre Clinical 90% - Outpatient clinics o 60% general endocrine (including low risk OP and thy nodules/diabetes) o 5% Rural Diabetes/Endocrine Outreach o 5% Multidisciplinary Pituitary clinic o 10% Neuroendocrine Tumour clinic (ACCC) o 10% Diabetes in Pregnancy (SHC & other sites as needed) - Inpatient call: 2-4 weeks - Specialist link: 2 weeks - Central access & triage: 2 weeks Education 10% - The selected applicant is expected to engage in clinical and non-clinical teaching of trainees at all levels (medical students, residents, endocrinology fellows); teaching activities include the completion of all necessary evaluations (EPAs, ITERs etc). - This applicant will also provide Academic Half Days and participate in the City-Wide Grand Round series We’re passionate about what we do. Qualifications: The candidate must be eligible for Licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta. Must read, write, and speak English. All qualified candidates are encouraged to apply; however, Canadians and Permanent Residents will be given priority.
