Description: The University of Alberta, Faculty of Medicine & Dentistry, in partnership with Alberta Health Services (AHS) invites applications for an interventional cardiologist of any academic level to join as a full-time tenured track faculty within the Division of Pediatric Cardiology in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Alberta. Position Responsibilities: • Clinical Excellence: clinical service would include cardiac catheterization laboratory services and general pediatric cardiology care, including inpatient cardiac ward or consultative services and general pediatric cardiology outpatient clinics. • Education and Mentorship: teaching expectations would include mentoring of cardiology residents and interventional cardiology fellows, formative and bedside teaching. • Collaboration and Engagement: work closely with other programs, interdisciplinary teams, and healthcare professionals to advance Pediatric Cardiology care and the education of Pediatric Cardiology trainees.
Qualifications: Interested applicants must have: ? MD degree (or equivalent) ? Completed subspecialty training in Pediatrics and subspecialty training in Pediatric Cardiology ? >1 years of dedicated training in pediatric interventional cardiology ? Advanced training or experience in research ? Must be certified or eligible to become a fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. Must be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta (CPSA). Remuneration for this position is based on the Academic Medicine & Health Services Program (AMHSP). Salary will be commensurate with education and experience and ranges based on a number of different factors with an annual mean of $349, 009.92.
